Job Duties:
10Screening segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB) from all mouse models (more than 600 mice).Essential
15Maintain stocks of lab supplies and coordinates repair of lab equipment.Essential
20Maintain mouse colonies and liaison with DLAR staff. Perform various animal procedures such as animal genotyping.Essential
20Perform genetic, cell biological, biochemical and immunological assays such as qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, and mass cytometry.Essential
30Provides technical support to the activities of students, graduate assistants and other employees. Will assist with sequencing experiments, experimental design, lab meeting set up, and manuscript preparation. Will assist PI with regulatory duties such as IACUC, controlled substances administration, and IBC.Essential
5Perform other duties as assigned.Essential


Job summary: To assist PI with research support for U01 Grant. Knowledge of molecular and cell-biological assays preferred.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)


FLSA: Hourly


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years work experience in a clinical or research setting; a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science may be substituted for the two years of required experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skill and Ability Preferred: Animal handling, tissue culture and/or immunology experience required.

(Frequent) Ability to maneuver heavy equipment on bench tops, 50 lbs. or greater, unassisted. (Frequent) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
