Pay Basis/FLSA:  Hourly

Job Summary/Purpose: The Credit Processor diligently follows the workflows established to properly research, analyze and resolve undistributed and credit transactions within the EPIC and DataArk (Legacy) system. Process all levels of transactions needed for resolution (transfers, posting, offsets, refunds, etc). Will use available resources: Workflows, Email, Excel, Word, Fee Schedules etc. to verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information. 

Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent education required. Minimum one year experience working in health insurance related field. Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) software (EPIC applications preferred). Knowledge of hospital/other systems necessary. Analytical abilities, strong oral and written communication skills. PC software knowledge, MS Office.

Must be able to work independently under the direction of the Department Supervisor and Manager.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting.  Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possesses good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/writs/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions.  Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.  Frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing 20 lbs (=/-) unassisted.  Lift from 36" to overhead 15 lbs.  Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
