Job Summary/Purpose: Analyzes credit balance accounts to ensure they are worked timely and accurately. Handles refund request correspondence, compliance audit credits and quarterly reporting for credits.

Minimum Training and Education: High School Diploma required, with some college preferred. Two years of clerical accounting experience required (Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted), with previous experience in a hospital business or physician practice preferred. Knowledge of collection and billing procedures. Ability to balance patient accounts and follow established office procedures. Ability to work independently under general supervision. Must be able to type 35 corrected words per minute. Overtime may be required.
