Job Summary/Purpose

Minimum Training and Education: Associates degree and two years of experience in related field or high school diploma or equivalent and five years of related work experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of third party billing regulations, managed care contracts, CPT and ICD10 coding preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills a must.  Epic, nThrive or other revenue cycle related systems experience a plus.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:  

Provide leadership and support to assigned care team members to improve performance and outcomes as it relates to organizational, departmental, and team goals, workflow, and initiatives.

Focusing on employee engagement, innovation, revenue cycle performance and budget. Directly supervise day-to-day operations for assigned areas of responsibility.

Provide training and development for new and existing personnel. Perform quality assurance audits on assigned care team members. Monitor employee performance/productivity.

Maintain appropriate staffing levels for workflow. Ensure employees have necessary training, tools, equipment to be successful. Provide training and development for new and existing personnel.

Maintain written documentation for workflows under your supervision. Cascade communication to care team members in a timely and professional manner.

Conduct team meetings and individual rounding sessions with care team members each month.Review revenue cycle performance metrics and various reports to identify trends, potential issues and/or opportunities to improvement.

Initiate/participate in cross-collaborative meetings with revenue cycle/IT partners for improved revenue cycle outcomes. Achieve/Maintain Tier 1 or Tier 2 Employee Engagement score for assigned work units.

Responsible for creating and executing employee engagement action plans. Ensure all team members conduct themselves in a manner that supports our organization’s standards of behavior. Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies Responsible for completing or assisting with all human resource related activities. (i.e. hiring requests, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions etc).

Monitors to ensure all established personnel policies and procedures are followed. (ie work from home, dress code, compliance, time and attendance policies etc). Perform timekeeping duties for assigned care team members. 

Realize opportunities to share knowledge and capitalize on integration points throughout the revenue cycle to increase operational performance. Establishes and cultivates helpful and effective relationships across the revenue cycle, managed care, IT, payor or other network offices.  

Participates in meetings to discuss ongoing trends and issues regarding performance and/or outcomes. Provide meaningful data for negotiating improved Payor Contract Terms Provide feedback related to opportunities identified through analytic research or payor responses to areas such as coding, charging, and patient accounting.  

Complete morning and afternoon claim run procedures within Epic and nThrive Contract Management. Ensure successful claims exports and imports of notes posting files back into Epic. Ensure claims are reconciled and any errors or rejections are resolved timely. Provide daily report of export totals or other operational metrics to leadership.

Open new and monitor existing cases with nThrive. Respond and/or provide information necessary for resolution. Open new and monitor existing SharePoint requests for IT or BI Reporting. Respond and/or provide information necessary for resolution. Proactively communicate any performance issues with leadership and other impacted revenue cycle leaders. Provide adhoc reports from nThrive and/or Experian Contract Management as requested. Handle escalated accounts and provide feedback in a timely manner    

Physical Requirements:  Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.  Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.  Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 25 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 25 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs.  Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
