Job Duties:
10Act as the primary administrative point of contact for internal research staff and as the principal operational liaison for other research organizations, funding agencies and regulating bodies.Essential
15Coordinate research visits with other members of the research team as needed to facilitate seamless study visits. Schedule study visits in conjunction with protocol timelines.Essential
15Manage data collection and data entry, reviewing documentation for accuracy and data validity as needed. Prepare study reports as needed for the study team.Essential
20Oversee the day-to-day operations of research protocols and provide project management for assigned research projects.Essential
20Supervise direct patient care activities of patients involved in research studies. Coordinate and track the recruitment, screening and enrollment of research participants. Assist the PI/Investigators with consenting subjects and maintaining adherence to regulatory procedures. Coordinate proper data management according to protocol requirements and protocol compliance, i.e. collect and record all data pertaining to study patients on specific study and submit on time to research bases.Essential
5As requested by the sponsor and in collaboration with the PI, coordinate monitoring visits and prepare for sponsor visits as required.Essential

Job summary: The Department of Dermatology at the Medical University of South Carolina is actively recruiting for a Research Coordinator I. The chosen candidate will serve as the primary contact for internal research staff, oversee the day-to-day operations of research protocols and provide project management for assigned research projects, supervise direct patient care activities involved in research studies, and manage data collection and data entry. Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $32,838.00 - $46,799.00 - $60,760.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and one year relevant program experience.
