Job Duties:
10Review Accounts Payable email account and process purchase order invoices.Essential
20Audit and provide assistance to the University departmental contacts. Act as the point of contact person for all invoice inquiries and follow up with customers when there are questions regarding payment requests. Answer AP telephone line. Responds to all business related emails in a timely manner. Researches and replies to all requests in a timely manner.Essential
25Audit invoice payment requests to prepare for processing. Verify each expense is approved through the University policies and procedures and meets state and federal regulations. Monitor and audit Jaggaer/EDM work queues to ensure timely payment processing.Essential
30Processes payment request invoices as required accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with the Key Process Indicator. Monitor and process Jaggaer work queues to ensure timely payment processing.Essential
5Creates and/or updates on an on-going basis a desktop procedure manual for the position.Essential
5Other duties and cross training, as assigned. Assist with Accounts Payable phone calls related to Smart Stream and Marketplace.Essential
5Submit vendor and UDAK updates to Systems Accounting and account approval requests to GCA in a timely manner to ensure prompt processing of payment requests. Submit invoices to Purchasing as required by MUSC policy.Essential


Job summary: Under limited supervision, performs complex accounting duties, which will include posting, updating, reconciling, auditing and preparing summary financial and statistical reports. Interpret accounting system policies and procedures. Responsible for processing all invoices for payment on a timely and accurate basis as well as reconciliation of transactions processed. Will assist as required in the gathering of invoices and distribution for payment in a timely and accurate manner. Performs paraprofessional accounting duties in accordance with GAAP, MUSC policies and procedures and state and federal reporting requirements.  


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)


FLSA: Hourly


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years of experience in clerical accounting or bookkeeping.
