Scheduled Work Hours/Shift:  5 days a week, hours vary

Pay Basis/FLSA:  Hourly

Job Summary/Purpose:  The Clinic Office Coordinator enters charges and payments and works claims in a timely manner.  Works to maintain a good public image of the practice when taking phone calls. Assists the receptionist with patient scheduling as needed and answers calls, assist with call backs and buckets as needed. Enters cases for all messages in the patient chart. Assist patients with billing, insurance questions and payment agreements.

Minimum Training and Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Three to five years in a medical practice setting and in depth knowledge ICD9 & CPT coding experience preferred.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:  

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.  Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors.  Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 25 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 25 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs.  Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
