Job Duties:
25Research & Reporting - • Develops and implements processes to update and maintain the Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence database and biobank specimens. • Develops and prepares regular reports to leadership on all initiatives. • Develops and prepares regular reports to donor. • Accountabilities for this position include strategic plan development, physician referral and network analysis and growth-goal setting, clinical program coordination, data collection, and analysis, and participation in relationship building with the multi-specialty team of providers who deliver specific Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence initiatives. The position is responsible for determining measurable key metrics, developing business cases based on these metrics and financial projections for each of the initiated plans.Essential
35Operations – • Manages all initiatives for the Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence including all aspects of project management and implementation utilizing appropriate methodologies. Works closely with departmental administrative and faculty leadership to achieve consensus. Should be well-versed in quality-improvement project development and methodology. • In collaboration with Divisional and Departmental Administration, implements operational budgets and effectively communicates current and future needs of the program. Follows Department of Medicine protocol and processes for financial management. • Serves as the main administrative point of contact for the Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence and ongoing operations to include managing the support infrastructure, communication channels, support groups and special events, and all other components that fall within the scope of the program.Essential
35Program Development- • Partners with leadership to develop and implement the Susan Pearlstine Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence initiatives of improving access, connecting patients & families with resources to ensure success, informing people, patients and physicians and protecting sustainable delivery of healthcare and evidence based medicine in sarcoidosis. • Ensures linkage and alignment of implementation within the framework and road map of the Susan Pearlstine Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence and communicates progress and barriers throughout projects.Essential
5Human Resources - • Hires, trains and oversees a small staff. Determines workloads and evaluates success of staff. Performs related responsibilities as required. Supports staff in their professional development as a mentor, guide and coach. • Pursues ongoing professional development in sarcoidosis clinical operations with a goal of becoming a regional and national expert.Essential


Job summary: The position is responsible for developing and implementing the Susan Pearlstine Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence Clinical Program strategic plan to improve coordination of care and outcomes for sarcoidosis patients served by MUSC Health. The Program Manager will be instrumental in building and supporting the ongoing mission of the Center to be one of the best sarcoidosis programs in the U.S.

The position works closely with the Physician Director and Nurse Navigator for the Center for Sarcoidosis, Department of Medicine Administrative Leadership, the Sarcoidosis Coordinating and Oversight Council, and members of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine.


Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 7: $48,622.00 - $69,289.00 - $89,956.00 (min - mid - max)


FLSA: Salaried


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and three years relevant program experience.

Preferred Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and three year’s relevant experience. A Master’s degree in public health, business, healthcare administration is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced written, oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a matrix structure. High Proficiency in all aspects of MS Office Suite. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, independently analyze issues, work with minimal supervision, and be exceedingly well-organized and flexible. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills required and the ability to function within a complex environment comprised of a wide range of individuals both within and outside of MUSC. Self-starter with ability to work independently.
