Job Summary/Purpose: The Service Management Process Owner reports to the Director of Information Solutions Service Management (ISSM) under the Associate Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Business Operations. This role collaborates with leaders across IS technology pillars to develop, manage, and improve complex, integrated processes that enable the effective implementation of a service management centric operation that delivers clinical, academic, business and technical services that provide desired outcomes and deliver value to the Enterprise. The Process Owner provides oversight and matrixed leadership for designated ISSM processes, ensuring their implementation, adoptions, performance, and value to IS and the MUSC Enterprise.  Responsibilities include defining Critical Success Factors (CSF) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each owned process; capturing and reporting process performance metrics to IS Senior Leaders; recognizing and delivering on opportunities for operational improvement through processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); collaborating with the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform owner to improve efficiency through tools; and educating team members throughout IS on the importance, practice, and behaviors associated with each process.As an ISSM leader, the Process Owner will participate in strategic planning activities related to ISSM, such as developing roadmaps for growth, and risk management activities to assure IS’s ability to continue delivering valued technology-based services to the MUSC Enterprise

Minimum Training and Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or related field, or related technology work experience. Eight (8) years of experience required in at least two of the following areas: IT infrastructure, applications systems, integration architecture, software development, technology service management, data management, and analytics.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  ITIL Foundations certification or higher must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
