Job Summary/Purpose: The Social Worker will be working with middle-school aged children primarily doing group therapy in a day treatment setting.  The social worker is also responsible for individual and family therapy sessions.  The Social Worker in Children's Day Treatment primarily works alongside a Clinical Counselor to provide therapy services to children with emotional and behavioral challenges.  Group therapy experience required.  Pediatric mental health experience required.  LISW preferred.

Minimum Training and Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required. Two years of work experience in the field is preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners required.

(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to work in a latex safe environment. (Continuous) Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. (Continuous)
