Job Summary/Purpose: Under limited supervision, the Clinical Operations Manager, in collaboration with other health professionals and in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change, ensures effective clinical and financial daily operations of the areas of responsibility. This role is accountable for all aspects of personnel including recruitment, retention, orientation and on-going evaluation using the just culture principles to ensure the delivery of highly reliable quality patient care. The COM role requires a commitment to life-long learning and professional development in order to continue to meet the ever changing needs of the patients served now and in the future.

Minimum Training and Education:  Graduate of an approved clinical program in Radiologic Science with National licensure/registration required, and/or certification (ARRT, CNMT, RDMS) highly preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in one of the Radiologic Sciences, management, business, basic science, or allied science related field required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MS) in related management, basic science and/or related (DHA, PhD) must be completed within 4 years of hire date required.  A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in Radiology Services preferably in an academic teaching hospital setting; or 7 years of relevant healthcare/clinical managerial experience in administration or healthcare business management required.  Exceptional written and organizational/leadership skills and project development and implementation skills required.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:  Licensure as a radiology technologist by the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
