Executive Director, Office of Student Programs and Student Diversity Charleston, SC-Main Campus
The Executive Director of the Office of Student Programs and Student Diversity will work under the guidance of the Associate Provost for Educational Affairs and Student Life, and will participate as a team member within the Division. The Executive Director of Student Programs and Student Diversity will have discretion and independence in the supervision of his/her staff, and be responsible for managing an approved budget and developing a strategic plan for his/her unit. The Executive Director of Student Programs and Student Diversity will manage and direct the activities of Student Diversity, Student Programs, Off-Campus Housing, Service Learning and Volunteer Programs, Student Communications, Pipeline Programs, and the Student Government Association. S/he will promote academic excellence and effective student life services for all students, with a focus on students from under-served and under-represented minority groups. The Executive Director of Student Programs and Student Diversity will work with individual students, student groups, staff, and faculty to design and implement strategies that support students’ unique needs while fostering community among all students.

Supports and facilitates the development of Evoked Potential Operant Conditioning (EPOC) research program within and beyond the College of Health Professions at MUSC using clinical expertise. Works with individuals with neurological disease/injury (e.g., spinal cord injury, stroke, and brain injury throughout their participation in neuro-modulation and rehabilitation research studies.
MUSCP - Certified Medical Assistant - Lowrys Family Medicine Chester, SC
The Medical Assistant assist in the provision of patient care by performing assigned tasks according to policy and address the developmental and age related needs of the patient. He/she will assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. The Medical Assistant must assist in the assessment of patient responses to interventions by performing and recording routine vital signs then performing initial interview to obtain patient data. In addition, he/she must identify abnormal assessments of findings, communicating findings to physician, and document assessment findings in the appropriate format. The Medical Assistant must document all activities according to defined guidelines by completing all documentation requirements in a timely manner by including thorough and complete information and properly identifying self on all patient records. He/she will assist in the education process for the patient by providing information to assist in patient/family leanring, and obtaining appropriate educational sheets for patient and place in chart. The Medical Assistant should obtain referral appointments, prior authorizations, and medicine for patients as needed. The Medical Assistant should demonstrate performance consistent with the mission and goals of the practice and organization; remain flexible to changing systems; and treats staff, physicians, patients, and visitors with consideration and respect.
UNIV - Human Services Specialist II - Psychiatry: National Crime Victims Center Charleston, SC-Main Campus
This position will function as a case manager providing services to victims of crime with an emphasis on survivors of homicide for the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVC). The person will conduct telephone intake phone screens of potential new patients for a behavioral health trauma clinic as well as provide community based individual evaluations and intensive case management for referred family or friends who lost a loved one to homicide. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.

Under general supervision, the Referral Management Specialist I serves as the initial point of contact for individuals and referring physicians seeking access and referral information for medical care at MUSC. This position facilitates the referral process and schedules appointments for multiple specialties and primary care physicians in a call center environment utilizing an automated scheduling system. This role triages patient calls according to established algorithms, answers questions, resolves issues and refers to appropriate clinical team for clinical issues as appropriate. This position performs quality data collection of accurate information including demographic, physician, insurance, employment, next of kin, emergency contacts and other miscellaneous information needed to complete the patient’s information.
