The Division of Physical Therapy (PT) invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, open-rank position. Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree, a minimum of 3 years in clinical practice, a minimum of 2 years in clinical education (e.g. DCE, SCCE, CI) and be eligible for SC Physical Therapy licensure. Preference will be given to individuals with an academic doctorate, experience as a DCE/ACCE administration experience and completion of the APTA Credentialed Instructor Program Level 1 and Level 2. The candidate also needs strong communication, organization, interprofessional, problem-solving and counseling/coaching skills. The primary role of the position is the Assistant Director of Clinical Education (DCE) with possible progression to DCE; additional duties/roles/expectations include instruction, mentorship of student scholarly endeavors, and student advisement for achievement of educational goals for the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. Faculty are also responsible for contributing to scholarship in areas appropriate for their discipline of expertise and for participating in Division, Department, College, and University governance. Assistant DCE will comprise 80% of this core faculty position.

Serve as the Lead Data Manager for the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) of the SIREN Network at Data Coordination Unit (DCU). This PMI position will serve in a leadership role reporting directly to the Associate Director of Trial Operations of DCU. This person will be responsible for overseeing the management of all trials funded by the SIREN Network. The purpose of the DCC for the Strategies to Innovate EmeRgENcy Care Clinical Trials Network (SIREN) is to provide a comprehensive data management and statistical infrastructure to support the network’s goal of conducting high quality clinical trials that will improve outcomes for patients with neurologic (not including stroke), cardiac, respiratory, hematologic and trauma emergency events. All trials conducted within the Network have their own NIH grant award, are required to be multicenter and can be international trials.
