Serve as the Lead Project Manager for the National Data Management Center (NDMC) of the NIH StrokeNet Network at Data Coordination Unit (DCU). This PMI position will serve in a leadership role reporting directly to the Associate Director of Trial Operations Core of DCU. This person will be responsible for overseeing the management of all trials funded by the NIH StrokeNet Network which includes international multicenter research studies. The purpose of the NDMC for the NIH StrokeNet Network is to provide a comprehensive data management and statistical infrastructure to support the network’s goal of conducting small and large clinical trials and research studies to advance acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and recovery and rehabilitation following a stroke across the lifespan. All trials conducted within the Network have their own NIH grant award, are required to be multicenter and can be international trials.

Potential research projects involve animal models of sensory impairment and postmortem human nervous tissue that aim to better understand neurodegenerative disorders, including age-related auditory dysfunction.
UNIV - Postdoctoral Scholar - Regenerative Medicine Charleston, SC
The lab of Henry Sucov is newly relocated to MUSC and has funding and projects for several new postdocs. Dr. Sucov is a SmartState endowed professor in the Dept. of Regenerative Medicine and as well in the Div. of Cardiology at MUSC. Among other approaches, the lab uses genetic strategies in mice to identify pathways and processes that impact cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart regeneration after adult heart injury (Patterson 2017 Nature Genetics, PMID 28783163) and neonatal heart injury (Shen 2018, submitted), with surprisingly extensive application to human genetics and human heart pathophysiology. In addition to gene/pathway discovery and associated mechanisms specifically relevant to heart regeneration, related projects address heart physiology, drug discovery, developmental biology, and bioengineering. These projects are sophisticated, novel, and critically important, and all are in need of new personnel.
