The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks applicants graduating from an accredited Physician Assistant Program to be enrolled into a one-year Neurology fellowship within the Department of Neurology. This fellowship will prepare the applicant physician assistant for a career in neurology as competent members of the team, developing a diverse differential diagnosis and respective diagnostic and treatment plan based on the patient's presenting symptoms along with evidence-based, cost-effective medical care. The fellowship will provide training for advance competence in common procedures needed for diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions; and cultivate leadership and process improvement skills, and improve critical-thinking skills by providing physician assistants with further education and specialized clinical and professional experience that distinguishes them from non-specialty trained PAs, and participating in didactic curriculum based on core competencies in Neurology.
