Under general supervision, the Oncology Patient Care Coordinator performs the complex scheduling required to ensure cancer patients are able to move through the care system in the most efficient and effective manner possible. This role functions as the primary point of contact for patients and physicians calling into the system to schedule appointments. In conjunction with their designated colleague, this position creates the weekly patient list for discussion at the multidisciplinary tumor conference. This role generates work lists of outside materials (radiology films, pathology specimens) to be sent to HCC from referring physicians and institutions.
