The Laboratory Specialist III with the Hollings Cancer Center of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting (FCCS) shared resource will operate and manage two staff-run cell sorters (FACSAria II and MoFlo Astrios EQ) and three analyzers (Fortessa X-20, LSRFortessa and FACSVerse) to accommodate Hollings Cancer Center and MUSC investigators. To manage the design, execution, and evaluation of FACS sorting and analytic flow cytometry serving as the key technical and scientific resource for the FCCS shared resource. Will be responsible for communicating experimental results to HCC investigators and assist in the preparation of manuscripts. Will actively develop novel flow cytometry-based techniques and provide cutting-edge methodology to progress the research of the HCC.

This role manages support service arrangements across functional areas and sets performance expectations for services not directly reporting to the ICCE. The ICCE Administrator works with the ICCE Chief and MUSC Health Chief Physician Executive (CPE) to establish ICCE business goals, and is held jointly accountable with the ICCE Chief for financial performance and achieving set targets.
