The Business Manager I directly reports to the designated ICCE Administrator and/or Cost Center Leader and indirectly reports to the Chief Financial Officer for MUSC Health providing support for adjusted operating expenses equal to or less than $21 M. Under limited supervision, the Business Manager I provides credible/reliable, consistent, standardized, and integrated financial support services to MUSC Health. This position is an integral operational partner and collaborates with the Administrator/Leader in the implementation of various enterprise initiatives. The Business Manager I serves as a strategic financial resource for the ICCE Chief and Administrator/Leader. Prepares and compiles all financial strategic plans including preforms, return on investment calculations, and forecasts in conjunction with the finance planning office. Participates in the long range financial planning process. Reviews and monitors all financial activities of the ICCE on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. Directs the development of annual budgets and identification of performance metrics. Guides, supports and reports out on a balanced scorecard for each area of oversight. Supervises the procurement process outside of the functions of the supply chain. Acts as the liaison to various support services. Manages special projects as assigned by the ICCE leadership.

The Hollings Cancer Center (HCC) Nurse Manager II is responsible for the provision of nursing education and mentorship to the non-nursing staff HCC Clinical Trials Office (CTO) and serves as a liaison to other clinical services and providers within HCC outpatient and inpatient clinics, the HCC infusion center and other ancillary departments. This individual will participate in the feasibility review process by reviewing protocols and determining the study patient flow and provision of center resources to promote protocol compliance and study participant retention. When complex trials are identified that require additional nursing resources, this individual will be assigned to the study and provide study specific nursing services such as observation, neurocognitive assessments, etc. Additionally, the nurse manager will collaborate closely with other clinical operation managers, EPIC and Beacon build managers to ensure that study treatment plans are built in accordance to the protocol for newly activated and amended therapeutic protocols. This position will be part of the CTO quality assurance and education unit and will report to the HCC CTO Director. The Nurse Manager II will have a key role in helping train and mentor new study coordinators and data managers in understanding oncology terminology and concepts. This individual must be knowledgeable of Food and Drug Administration federal regulations, local regulatory agency policies, and international Good Clinical Practice Guidelines to ensure that the conduct of clinical research activities remain in good standing and research performance excels in quality and efficiency. Must work collaboratively with CTO managers and ancillary services in program development and strategic planning. Responsible for the establishment of clinical operation standard operating procedures and proper training and quality assurance initiatives.

As a National Cancer Institute, we also provide comprehensive care to patients enrolled in clinical trials. 32 chairs are dedicated to solid tumor patients, including patients from other specialty areas (i.e. neurology, rheumatology, pulmonology); 10 chairs are dedicated to patients undergoing bone marrow transplant, and 2 chairs are dedicated to patients requiring central line access prior to physician and infusion appointments. The outpatient infusion suite is open Monday through Friday from 7am until 6pm; Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 12pm. Given the specialty of populations in our care, the Hollings Cancer Center infusion suite requires nurses to be chemotherapy/biotherapy certified by the Oncology Nursing Society. Upon employment, there are multiple opportunities for nurses to obtain specialty certification in a number of areas to include oncology, bone marrow transplant, and palliative care.

The Patient Access Services Representative reports to the Patient Access Services Supervisor. Under general supervision, the Patient Access Services Representative provides high level customer service while facilitating accurate and timely completion of registration verifying and preparing all patient accounts for inpatient and outpatient billing to maximize payment for Hospital and Clinic services. This position reviews and verifies all payment methods available (insurance, self-pay, agency) and patient/insurance information. This role works with patients to set up payment arrangements and to arrange/apply for assistance programs. The Patient Access Services Representative assists in collecting copayments and deductibles, and solves basic billing inquiries.

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at MUSC is seeking a board/eligible/certified radiologist with expertise in cardiothoracic imaging for a full-time faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. MUSC Radiology provides an excellent working environment with a total of 38 residents and 15 fellowships. The Thoracic section has a close working relationship and continuous collaboration with outstanding pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and subspecialists in other fields of medicine. The Cardiac Imaging section has an exceptional relationship with the departments of cardiology and vascular surgery, and performs cardiac MRIs and cardiac CTAs. Interdisciplinary conferences encompass a broad spectrum of comprehensive lung programs, including interstitial lung disease, COPD, lung cancer, lung cancer screening, and general pulmonary pathology. The cardiac imagers also participate in multidisciplinary conferences including multimodality-based case discussions. Whereas the primary role is the medical directorship of the satellite location, the physician would be integrated into the overall program at the Medical University of South Carolina.
