Job description:

To develop, deliver and oversee Transport Group stakeholder engagement planning and development of materials. Provide high level support to the Team Leader Stakeholder Engagement in developing and delivering the strategic direction for Transport Group stakeholder engagement.

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term full time flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months. 

Duties

  • Develop and deliver effective and professional stakeholder engagement plans and materials, and oversee and provide advice on the development and delivery of plans and materials created by consultants and contractors for the Group.
  • Provide advice and strategies to manage stakeholder issues.
  • Collaborate with other members of the branch to ensure consistent and accurate advice and information about Group projects.
  • Work with the Team Leader Stakeholder Engagement and other branch members to develop and implement strategies to improve the communications and engagement skills of staff, consultants and contractors working on behalf of the Group.
  • Support the Team Leader Stakeholder Engagement in elevating the importance of stakeholder engagement principles in the work of the Group and championing the Transport Group’s Stakeholder and Community Engagement Framework.
  • Provide leadership to, and oversee the work outputs of, a small team of stakeholder engagement officers.
  • Report on the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement for Group projects.

Desirable Requirements

  • A current full car driver licence
  • Qualifications in communications or stakeholder engagement, or a related field, and/or experience in stakeholder engagement and communications activities.
