Position Summary

The College at Brockport is seeking applicants for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty openings in the department of Anthropology


Position Description

The department typically hires adjunct faculty to teach classroom-based, hybrid, and on-line courses for the subject areas listed below, but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.

  • Introductory survey to Anthropology (three-field approach - Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology)
  • Introduction to a sub-field of Anthropology
  • Museum Studies

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Anthropology or a related field from an accredited US Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university or or an appropriate level of experience commensurate with the adjunct lecturer responsibilities. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Anthropology or a related field from an accredited US Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Significant teaching experience.
