Library Student Assistant, Collections and Resource Sharing Department, Fall 2026 Newark, DE
Search for and retrieve library materials from the Morris, Chemistry and Physics Library stacks. Scan articles and book chapters out of bound journals and books. Prepare and pack books for shipment and unpack incoming items. Deliver filled book carts to the Library mail room and the Collections Sharing and Delivery Office. Create shipping labels and help maintain a database of address records in the department’s shipping software. Prepare items for placement on Help Desk hold shelf.

The University of Delaware’s Nursing Program trains hundreds of students each week as they pursue their Bachelor’s in Nursing degrees through skills labs and scenario based education. As part of their education, large amounts of supplies are required for high-quality education and practice. The Simulation Center is committed to providing our students with the best learning experiences meanwhile, reducing costs and maintaining realism. To meet this goal, CSIIDEE has developed a one-of-a-kind “Repurposing” program to take used supplies in the labs and restore them to an “as-new” state for our students, while reducing large amounts of unnecessary waste created by medical supplies.
