Responsibilities: |
- Manage M&T Bank CIE Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media pages, updating and creating new content weekly.
- Develop new ideas and social media content related to M&T Bank CIE mission and goals.
- Develop and maintain the M&T Bank CIE newsletter (Fall/Spring).
- Help maintain and update M&T Bank CIE website with information relevant to the Center’s mission.
- Seek opportunities to partner with student clubs and organizations to create student engagement.
- Assist in preparing M&T Bank CIE event information and center materials.
- Attend M&T Bank CIE functions, meetings, and events.
- Create social media content and extensive coverage of each of the M&T Bank CIE events and initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgement while representing the M&T Bank CIE and engaging with M&T Bank CIE leadership team and event participants.
- Attend team meetings and participate in all training sessions.
- Assistants will report to the directors of the M&T Bank CIE.
- Aside from attending events, maintain a pre-set work schedule between normal business hours (8am-5pm), which can be conducted remotely and not exceeding 10 hours per week, with the ability to set work schedule around classes at the start of each semester.

Qualifications: |
- Vast experience with social media, content creation, photography and videography.
- Ability to create new engaging social media, newsletter and website content.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with highest attention to detail.
- Experience with or ability to learn additional platforms such as Canva, Delivra, and others unique to QU.
- Willingness to take on last-minute tasks and execute effectively and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to communicate effectively with individuals on and off campus at a variety of levels.
- Ability and willingness to attend Center events.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a sense of savviness in working with business and political leaders.
- Ability to exercise excellent judgement and discretion with confidential information.

Hours of Position: |
- 10 hours per week; flexible schedule between the hours of 8 am-5 pm
- Occasional events outside normal business hours
- Needed for all in-person and Zoom events of the M&T Bank CIE to provide social media coverage, and for admissions (or similar) events that typically occur one weekend per month in September, October, November, February, March, and April. Specific dates will be announced in 2024/25 academic year.
