(Job #531198) Administrative Support Coordinator II, Program Support Specialist, Salary Range: $3,681-$6,034. Appointments are typically made at the beginning of the salary range. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt, 12-month pay plan permanent position with a one-year probationary period in the College of Extended Education & Global Engagement. Position Summary: Under the lead of the Program Coordinator, this position will provide broad support to staff responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of programs for the College of Extended Education and Global Engagement (CEEGE). The program Support Specialist will assist CEEGE program coordinators, student support coordinators, and faculty in coordinating courses and field trips, generating class rosters, ensuring courses are evaluated, and in support of course communications with students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associated with this Position Include:
Experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments; thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures; thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling; thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broad range of technology, systems and packages; ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects; ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist; working knowledge of budget policies and procedures; ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data and make simple projections; ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports; ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature; ability to coordinate complex logistics; ability to work under multiple deadlines.
The incumbent must have strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service, be proactive and self-motivated to support the diverse needs of faculty, students, and staff related to initiatives within the college and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and to be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. This position requires a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. Must have the ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages.
These entry qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
College degree; two years in progressively responsible administrative or clerical position; experience in an academic office or educational setting with a diverse student and staff population; working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Slate, social media platforms, 25Live, Google Suite, Adobe Sign and other software used by Cal Poly Humboldt.
