Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 9:00 -12:00 pm

Rate of Pay:

$1000.00 flat rate for summer program

Job Summary:

Talent Search Transition non credit instructor

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study
2. Two years’ experience teaching
3. Must have demonstrated sensitivity to the academic and personal needs of economically and academically disadvantaged youth

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Certification in teaching field; preferred but not required
2. Experience working with the targeted population preferred.

Essential Duties:

1. Develop course syllabus
2. Develop course curriculum
3. Provide instruction as assigned
4. Evaluate each participant’s performance
5. Attend Talent Search staff meetings and training
6. Maintain accurate records on each participant
7. Participate closing presentations and other activities

Other Duties:

Other duties as assigned that pertain to the job description.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary (up to 10 lbs occasionally, sitting most of the time)

Close visual acuity (e.g. computer, assembly)
