M & TH 8-5pm, T & W 10am-7pm; F 8 - 4pm; some weekends

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities as recruitment coordinator are to plan, coordinate, deliver, and report the recruitment activities related to new student enrollment. This involves the cooperative development of activities that impact immediate and future enrollment at the college. It also involves developing relationships within the college and the community thus meeting the educational needs of the community and its members. This position is responsible for coordinating high school, middle school and home school learners’ outreach.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Understanding of the U.S. higher education system, including various institutional types, variety of program offerings, credential ladders and basic understanding of transfer articulation processes.
3. Understanding best practices in new student recruitment, with special focus on recruitment of multicultural students.
4. Understanding of the financial aid application process.
5. Understanding of international student enrollment processes and student visas.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1. Master's degree preferred

Essential Duties:

1. Coordinate outreach initiatives in collaboration with supervisor, other Recruitment Coordinators and other College personnel.
2. Meet with prospective students and families on campus to inform them of available educational opportunities and services.
3. Outreach to local middle school, high school, home school and community resources and/or businesses to recruit prospective students.
4. Follow up with prospective students to ensure completion of the enrollment process.
5. Collaborate with supervisor and other Recruitment Coordinators to develop service and learning outcomes for recruitment activities and performance measures.
6. Analyze data and modify practices to promote the effective and efficient use of resources based on that data.
7. As assigned, work on the Student Ambassador program, including marketing/promotion, interviewing students, recommending hiring, evaluation and development of training materials. Train and supervise the student ambassadors, maintaining a staff of 6-8 throughout the year.
8. As assigned, assist with the marketing and distribution of scholarship information.
9. Gain and maintain strong understanding of ECC’s credit (transfer, career-technical, ESL and GED/ABE) and non-credit programs and/or offerings and how these programs prepare students for transfer and/or employment.
10. Gain and maintain knowledge of ECC student services to best help direct a student in using these services.

Other Duties:

1. Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
2. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
