Work Schedule:

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Job Summary:

An employee in this class serves as the team lead within an assigned department of Enrollment Services (ex:  Testing, First Stop, Admissions, etc.).  Work involves overseeing and coordinating workflow of the front-line staff and student workers/ambassadors to ensure adequate levels of coverage and customer service.  Incumbent also serves as subject matter liaison to other departments and programs within the college.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  2. Three years of customer service experience which included adherence to established policies and procedures and handling of confidential information.
  3. Considerable skill in organizing own work and work of others
  4. Working skill in applicable software and database systems enough to discuss technical issues with non-technical users.
  5. Considerable knowledge of office practices, protocols and workflows.
  6. Considerable skills in verbal and written communication.
  7. Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively with team members.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Familiarity with integrated databases.

Essential Duties:

  1. Provide oversight for the daily operations and workflow within assigned area including coverage, training and problem solving more complex customer issues
  2. Prepares draft office schedules and submits to immediate supervisor for approval
  3. Works with students and parents and diplomatically resolves issues in a timely manner
  4. Serves as subject matter liaison to other departments within the College
  5. Recommend for hire, coordinate work and train Student Ambassadors/Student Workers based on office needs
  6. Provides technical support by setting up and maintaining applicable modules within Ellucian (Colleague), including testing system changes, evaluating potential impact and reporting issues
  7. Adheres to office policies and procedures and refers any exceptions to supervisor for approval
  8. Makes recommendations for process improvement to increase efficiency within the office
  9. Develops, implements, and documents system-generated letters, e-mails, web-based information and other correspondence for prospective and admitted students;
  10. Serves as back-up to other team members as needed
  11. Coordinates training documentation for department related documents
  12. Monitor student related web content to ensure consistency, quality, and ease of use.

  2. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
