Mercedes HPP are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to drive delivery across multiple projects. Purpose of the role is to… •Lead one of the programme teams for the Project programme from end to end •Act as the key interface between teams within HPP both during and in between events and managing the prioritisation and execution of test requests •Facilitate programme alignment with strategic goals, encouraging effective team working to maximise the performance and reliability of the powertrain. You'll lead challenging programmes with drive and determination, pushing to deliver against aggressive targets, setting the drumbeat and tone as part of an Engineering led business.

Success in this role will be if you… (deliverables)

  • Act as technical sounding board and translator between departments within project one and F1
  • Lead your allotted team to being high performing
  • Be demanding of others; ensure team gives appropriate support to maximise PU performance and reliability
  • Provide clear direction, swift decision making and strong leadership in times of crisis, knowing when to escalate
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the factory and team including deadlines
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly objectives are clear, structured and relevant (including test requests)
  • Drive all operations in-line with event schedule
  • Ensure all personnel, hardware, software, etc. are available in a timely fashion
  • Ensure all equipment and approaches are fit for purpose

  • Remaining calm under pressure
  • Utilising exceptional attention to detail, coupled with a questioning nature, to make sure that everything is right first time

  • A similar or relevant position

Demonstrate knowledge of…

  • Technical understanding the operation of the full powertrain and its interaction with the vehicle
  • First engineering principles (advanced)

Hold these qualifications…

  • An Engineering or Science based degree and/or sufficient Trackside experience


  •  Professional with a positive attitude
  • A natural leader and team player
  • Tenacious and driven – exhibiting an unwavering will to succeed
  • Demanding, but able to listen and analyse information from others
  • Both technically competent and politically savvy
