Join Suncorp’s Environment & Climate team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our climate strategy. As a Climate Delivery Advisor, you’ll be responsible for driving governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the Group’s climate commitments and regulatory reporting requirements.
What you'll do
- Project managing design and delivery: working closely with disclosure designers to ensure design iterations and deadlines are clearly understood and met by all stakeholders internally to ensure the project can work within scope and budget.
- Compliance assistance: Manage the internal verification of climate statements including overseeing the attestation and record keeping process to support a reasonable basis.
- Working group facilitation: responsible for climate governance support, including project management delivery for E&C facilitated working groups and deliverables. This includes overseeing working groups to support mandatory climate disclosure delivery recording minutes, key decisions and ensuring actions are captured, tracked and where required, following up with internal stakeholders.
- SteerCo coordination: support the efficient running of the AASB S2 SteerCo through drafting agenda, capturing minutes and actions and collating papers.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in stakeholder engagement activities by providing support in responding to information requests related to the delivery of the climate report (AASB S2) from relevant internal stakeholders, third party audit partners and external designers.
- Internal climate reporting support: Support the coordination of Group internal reporting on climate-related performance from various sources within the organisation. Establish and oversee processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability to support climate reporting and governance requirements.
- Third party assurance: Support the internal verification and third-party assurance processes (including the tracking and capturing of auditor findings and observations) relating to the climate disclosure and associated content within timeframes.
What you'll bring
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated interest or recent experience in climate-related reporting, sustainability, financial reporting, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of climate-related financial risks and reporting frameworks such as TCFD is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
