The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join the Wiser Health Care and Musculoskeletal Health Units and provide essential support to a variety of innovative health services and implementation of research projects.

This position encompasses a diverse range of research activities that are integral to advancing the unit's mission to improve health care delivery. Key responsibilities include managing data collection, supporting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and preparing ethics submissions, reports, and manuscripts for publication. The role is crucial to the successful execution of implementation research projects and evidence syntheses, which directly influence and inform health care practices.

The Research Assistant will collaborate closely with the Deputy Director to understand project requirements and ensure that research services are delivered with accuracy and precision. You will play an active role in producing or contributing to conference presentations, seminar papers, and peer-reviewed publications. Efficient management of research tasks will be essential to uphold the unit’s high standards and drive research outputs that make a meaningful impact on health care services.

Ideal candidates will hold an honours degree in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent qualifications and research experience. Strong analytical skills, proven experience in manuscript preparation, and a solid record of refereed research publications are essential. In-depth knowledge of data management, systematic reviews, and both qualitative and quantitative research methods will also be key to success in this role.
