Assistant Professor, Psychology Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is seeking a full-time faculty member in our Psychology Department. The faculty in the department teach courses in Introduction to Psychology, Applied Psychology, Child Development, Human Development, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Human Sexuality, Educational Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods. These courses are the foundation for students preparing for careers in psychology, education, nursing, allied health care, business, and other social sciences. Many of our students transfer to four-year programs in psychology. JCCC has created partnerships with many colleges and universities to allow students a nearly seamless transfer program on their path to earning a degree quickly and affordably.

Success Coach Overland Park Main Campus
The Success Coach at JCCC empowers students to achieve their academic and personal goals by providing holistic onboarding, first-semester course information, and ongoing coaching. Utilizing a coaching framework, the Success Coach assists students with onboarding and refers them to Counselors for appropriate first semester courses and information. Serving as a consistent resource throughout new students' enrollment, the coach builds accountability, self-efficacy, and connects students with essential resources. JCCC Success Coaches serve as a continued point-of-contact for the student as they onboard and progress through their journey at JCCC.
Morning English Connections Instructor West Park (WPK)
Provide English instruction to students who are transitioning from basic life-skill English classes into GED-level academic coursework, college transition or higher career placement. Instruction will be in reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary development, civics, and digital literacy at an intermediate to low-advanced level. Development of daily lesson plans to keep student attention, adhere to state and local academic standards and increase student success. Facilitate standardized testing for benchmarking. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.

Provide learner-centered instruction for basic literacy and math through high school equivalency/college readiness skills in reading, writing, math computation, applied math, science, and social studies in preparation for taking the 2014 GED® exam. Create individual education plans for each learner and monitor progress toward passing the 2014 GED® exam. Instruct students one-on-one and in small groups. Guide and supervise ongoing study. Engage community volunteers to assist with one-on-one instruction with learners. Create reports and maintain records. Participate in professional development events.

Transcript Assistant Overland Park Main Campus
Manage and process the electronic inbound transcripts accounts and determine accreditation of incoming transcripts.
Bookstore Clerk Overland Park Main Campus
Support all aspects of the Bookstore operations, provide sales support, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, coordinate with the warehouse team, and serve as a customer service liaison.
SRC Tutor II - Anatomy & Physiology Overland Park Main Campus
The A&P tutor provides tutoring for students in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and Medical Terminology courses. In addition to that, the tutor conducts review sessions, leads group discussions and help with learning Anatomy models; assist with other daily activities in the science resource center.
SRC Tutor III - Nursing Overland Park Main Campus
The Nursing Tutor will provide support with content material, help students with critical thinking skills, provide assistance with clinicals, and prepare for exams. Students have been found struggling to connect their subject matter with real life scenarios. The tutor will provide coaching to help students connect content matter with real life scenarios which is key to nursing students. This tutor will be able to help students in both the LPN and RN programs.
Classroom Supervisor/Lead Teacher Overland Park Main Campus
Lead an assigned classroom of young children and provide an effective learning environment for college students in cooperation with the Manager, Supervisor, Early Childhood Education Chair and college faculty.
Assistant Professor Business Administration Overland Park Main Campus
Teach the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester in Business Administration. Perform other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on committees; recruiting students; and other duties as assigned.

Aid in the preparation and implementation of a program appropriate for a designated group of young children.

Lead, plan, and implement an Early Childhood education program for the Hiersteiner Child Development Center (HCDC) for a designated group of young children to support a positive learning environment for college students.

Assistant Professor, Hospitality Management Overland Park Main Campus

Adjunct Assistant Professor, Astronomy Overland Park Main Campus
JCCC is looking for applicants for a part-time astronomy position in the Astronomy Department. The ideal candidate would be expected to instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Fundamentals of Astronomy or Astronomy. The ideal candidate would need to be able to teach face-to-face and/or online starting in Jan 2025 for the spring semester.
