Assistant Professor, Information Technology Overland Park Main Campus
This faculty position in the Information Technology department is within the Computing Sciences and Information Technology Division. The Faculty member is expected to possess expert level knowledge in the IT discipline. The Faculty member will carry teaching load in a variety of IT areas including: networking, systems administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The faculty member is expected to demonstrate competence in mastery of subject matter, professional development, teaching performance, evaluation of student learning, participation in college/division/program activities, support college policies and procedures, and contribution to the growth and enhancement of college mission and programs. This position demands a positive team player, with leadership and project management skills. This position is on-site in Overland Park, Kansas and starts Spring 2026.
Railroad Safety Instructor - Non-Credit Courses (NARS) Overland Park Main Campus
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is seeking experienced railroad professionals to serve as instructors for non-credit courses offered through the National Academy of Railroad Sciences (NARS). Instructors will teach classroom and hands-on training in areas such as Maintenance of Way Operating Rules (MWOR), Shortline Engineer Training, Industrial Rail Operations Training (IROT), and related safety programs. This role is critical to ensuring participants meet industry standards for safe and efficient rail operations. This position requires travel to client locations.
Business & Leadership Instructor - Customized Training - Non-Credit Courses Overland Park Main Campus
The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction for non-credit business and leadership courses at Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Instructors may teach a variety of topics, including but not limited to communication, team dynamics, strategic planning, organizational leadership, project management, and other emerging areas based on industry needs. While most instructors teach multiple subjects, specialization in one area is acceptable. The ability to customize training for corporate clients is a valued bonus. Instruction should focus on practical, industry-relevant skills that support professional growth and workforce development. Training may be delivered on campus, virtually, or at client locations, depending on program and client needs.
SRC Tutor I, Nursing Overland Park Main Campus
Tutor students through a variety of modalities and methods, refer students to other relevant resources, and assist with daily activities in the relevant resource center for Johnson County Community College (JCCC).
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Automation Engineer Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The Industrial Maintenance/Automation program is seeking a qualified candidate for Adjunct. Responsibilities include teaching sections of courses within this program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics) during both daytime and evening hours, as well as participation in professional development and service to the division, college and community. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Required Skills: Thorough knowledge of NEC Ability to use curriculum to lecture and demonstrate within a class or lab environment. Knowledge of safety in the industrial maintenance field. Ability to work with a variety of industrial tools and operations including pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting. Preferred Skills: Industry recognized certification. At least two years of experience teaching in a vocational setting. Prior experience developing curriculum related to industrial principles.
