Under routine supervision, perform and direct others in a variety of duties necessary to lead the preparation of meals and specials in a residential dining operation. Provide skills necessary to lead production areas in residential dining. Supervise the work and maintain service area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Oversee and prepare a wide variety of soups, sides, salads, entrees, desserts, baked and pastry items; use a variety of kitchen equipment; assist and oversee the kitchen production, ordering and inventory of products, following standardized recipe files; and make recommendations for change/improvement.

This is a posting for part-time temporary positions which are used to supplement and augment the regular NMU workforce. The Food Service Worker I position is primarily responsible for service aspects of food lines and cleaning. The Production Cook position is primarily responsible for food preparation and cooking. The Sports Counselor is a full-time, 10-month shared position between the NMU University Counseling Center (CCS) and the NMU Athletic Department. The position will be housed in the Wellbeing Center and will report to the Director of the Counseling Center and work closely with athletic department sports medicine staff. Responsibilities are those of a Professional University Counseling Center Clinician; individual, group, and crisis counseling/intervention, assessment, outreach programming, and consultation in a short-term intervention model. Presentations on mental health topics. This is a campus-based position.

Under routine supervision, perform a variety of duties necessary for daily maintenance, operation and supervision of employees in Starbucks and Retail Stores. Provide skills and perform duties necessary to lead and engage the staff in the preparation and resale of various beverages, food and retail items, ensuring operational success through excellent customer service and maintaining store standards. Perform a variety of similar retail and catering service duties in the summer as determined by operational needs of the Dining Services Department.
