The advisor provides support and guidance to ensure learners have the best opportunity to achieve their educational goals. The advisor plays a pivotal role in promoting learner success to ensure learners reach key benchmarks throughout their academic programs. The incumbent is a learner's initial point of contact for information about placement scores, course registration, major selection, academic resources, college policies and procedures, etc. The position is required to provide accurate and timely advising via in-person appointments, email, phone, Zoom meetings, and group advising sessions. The incumbent creates an advising environment where differences are valued and each learner is supported.
Coordinator, EMS Harrisburg, PA
Responsible for coordinating the activities of program(s) in an academic non-credit area. Incumbent responsibilities generally include developing internal/external partnerships; evaluating program delivery and recommending modifications based on trends, technology, and needs assessments; conducting research and analyzing information; developing program communications; monitoring program grants and assisting with program budget development and implementation. Ensure alignment of classes and programs with HACC's Strategic Plan and compliance with Middle States standards.
Administrative Support Specialist, Academic Advising Lancaster, PA
The Academic Advising Specialist provides specialized operational support to campus-wide academic advising initiatives. The incumbent work with director and assistant directors to create and support academic advising programming for advisors, students and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of academic advising. The position also assists with advisor assignments as well as academic advising program assessment.
Workforce Development (WFD) Instructor - English as a Second Language (ESL) for Community, College and Career Instructor Harrisburg, PA, Lancaster, PA
HACC's Language Institute offers Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels of ESL classes at the Harrisburg, Midtown 1 location and Lancaster campuses as well as off-site for business and industry. Courses begin during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. The current course schedule is located at www.hacc.edu/adulteducation HACC maintains a pool of applicants for Workforce Development instructor positions in the area of ESL and interviews applicants as opening arises.
