Adjunct Instructor 1 - Automotive Engineering Technology	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Teach AAS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include manual drivelines, brakes, electrical, engines, steering and suspension, electronic fuel management, chassis electrical, automatic transmissions, heating ventilation and air conditioning, service area or automotive machining. A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected. This is a pooled position. Required: The standard to teach college credit courses at the associate degree level (1xx, 2xx) shall be the bachelor's (or higher) degree in field, or closely related area. A bachelor's degree or higher out of field and an associate's degree in field and five (5) years of relevant industry experience; or a bachelor's degree out of field and seven (7) years of relevant industry experience; or an associate's degree in field and seven (7) years of relevant industry experience. ASE Master Technician may substitute for two (2) years of industry experience. Appropriate ASE certifications based on content of course taught.
Senior Laboratory Trainer	Big Rapids, MI 49307
Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. This position is also responsible for developing laboratory curriculum changes. These are pooled, part-time positions. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications appropriate to program assignment, such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Five years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials. Two years experience in a classroom laboratory setting as a trainer/instructor/monitor.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Early childhood (birth to 5 years), Elementary, or Secondary Education	Multiple Locations
The School of Education seeks candidates to teach on a semester-by-semester, as needed basis, in the areas of Early childhood (birth to 5 years), elementary education, and secondary education at one of Ferris State University's campuses. Candidates must be available to teach face-to-face and synchronous on-line courses during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, some evenings may be required. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is used for face to face and/or online instruction. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. Part-Time Bus Driver – Ferris State University. Provide safe transportation for passengers, equipment, and packages. Assist in maintenance of University owned and leased vehicles. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Valid Michigan commercial driver’s license (CDL), Group A or B with endorsements ‘P’ with no restrictions, airbrakes and DOT medical card. Three years full-time equivalent of combined bus and heavy equipment truck driving, with emphasis on bus driving experience. Demonstrated experience with minor automotive repair and driving all types of vehicles.

Adjunct Instructor 1 – Reading – Ferris State University. This position has responsibilities for teaching Foundations – Analytical Reading or Analytical Reading at Ferris State University. Instruction will focus on providing students with the opportunity to become critical readers by increasing vocabulary, enhancing reading comprehension and recall, and improving reading skills to better prepare for college level reading. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. Required: Master’s degree in Reading, Developmental Education, Special Education or related field. Experience teaching and/or developmental studies at the college or K-12 levels. Experience teaching reading, developmental-level, and/or language arts at the high school and/or post-secondary levels.
