Perform skilled trades work in repairing, installing, diagnosing, and maintaining heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, refrigeration and associated equipment on University property. Position is located in Big Rapids, MI and the current anticipated shift for the position will be M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Assignment requires the availability to work weekends and evening shifts as needed and respond to emergency calls. Required to carry pager. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency. Possession of Certificate of completion in Universal Application of Refrigerant Transition. Two years of work experience in commercial, industrial, and/or residential HVACR. |
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Construction Management

We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach one course or a variety of courses, in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, and Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction, surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design and construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended or online; in Big Rapids and/or Grand Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and use of current technology are expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. For 100% online teaching positions: Courses are to be taught online. Assistant Professor – Project Management (Tenure Track - 9 month)

The College of Business at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Project Management. Teaching will include project management undergraduate and graduate courses. To foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster curricular efforts, participate in assessment of student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancement. Specifically, we expect the candidate to be willing to engage students outside the classroom, support and expand our existing academic initiatives, and be willing to mentor students beyond a traditional academic advising role. In support of teaching, they will engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees. The selected candidate should be willing to serve as a program coordinator. Off-campus and online teaching may be required. Teach BS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include: Automotive Foundations, Automotive Marketing and Distribution, Automotive Accounting, Automotive Culture, Management of Fixed or Variable Operations, Warranty and Customer Relations, or Internet and Social Media Marketing. Qualification by Tested Experience: Bachelor's degree in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology or Equivalent degree. Minimum of three years full-time experience in the Heavy Equipment Service field or teaching in a Heavy Equipment related setting, within the previous five years.
