Adjunct Instructor - Sociology (Part-Time, Temporary) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education seeks applicants to provide instruction for a variety of face-to-face and online Sociology courses on the Big Rapids campus. The courses may include Introductory Sociology, Social Problems, Marriage and Family, Social Stratification, Race and Ethnicity in the US, World Urban Sociology, and/or other upper-level sociology courses, as determined by the qualifications of the instructor and the needs of the department. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on Ferris State's sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Required: Master's degree in Sociology.
Adjunct Instructor- Product Design Engineering Technology Multiple Locations
The School of Automation, Mechanical & Manufacturing Systems invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Product Design Engineering Technology program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lecture and laboratory coursework in concept development, design, prototyping, and CAD skills. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F1 EAD’s, OPT, H1B, etc.
Adjunct Instructor- Electronics and Automation Engineering Technology Multiple Locations
The College of Engineering Technology is seeking temporary faculty to teach AAS and/or BS-level coursework involving Industrial, Electronics, and Automation Technology. Typical subject matter includes DC / AC circuit analysis, Industrial Electronics, Motors and Motor Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Digital Systems, Electronic Devices and Sensors. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Title IX Coordinator Administrator Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Title IX Administrator (Coordinator) reports to the Dean of Student Life and has the primary responsibility of coordinating and implementing the University’s compliance efforts with Title IX, working closely with the Vice President of Student Affairs, Associate Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of Equal Opportunity, General Counsel, and other administrative leaders, and has no other duties that create a conflict of interest. The Title IX Coordinator leads and proactively influences University-wide Title IX planning, monitoring, reporting, grievance procedures, education, prevention, and training efforts. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc. Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in adult education, student affairs, higher education, social work, counseling, law/legal studies, or a related field. Three years of professional experience post-Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated professional experience related to Title IX. This could include serving as the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator, investigating Title IX complaints, serving as a hearing officer or advisor, or contributing to the creation of an institution's Title IX policy. Demonstrated experience in managing complaints, conducting investigations, and/or effectively resolving cases in areas such as student conduct, legal offices, law enforcement, or related fields.
Adjunct Instructor - HVACR Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Engineering and Technology at Ferris State University invites applications for Adjunct Instructor positions in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) program. We seek a diverse pool of highly qualified individuals who are passionate about teaching and preparing the next generation of skilled HVACR technicians and industry professionals. Adjunct instructors may teach courses across a variety of HVACR-related disciplines, including residential and commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration, controls and automation, electrical fundamentals, system design, installation practices, diagnostics and troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, energy management, building systems, and emerging technologies within the industry.
