The Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (ADASA) directs and coordinates all academic and student-related functions at Michigan College of Optometry. An industry-leading optometry College dedicated to producing outstanding clinical optometrists and provides leadership to ensure compliance with all accreditation standards related to academic affairs and student services. Specific responsibilities related to academic affairs include; oversight of the curriculum, assessment of programmatic outcomes, setting faculty and student schedules, organizing disciplinary actions, developing policy letters, and maintaining faculty and student handbooks. Specific responsibilities related to student services include overseeing recruitment, admissions, student advising, development and analysis of key metrics that assess student success, well-being, and belonging. On behalf of the students in the Doctor of Optometry program, the ADASA will coordinate student interactions with the University registrar, financial aid office, graduation office, and other offices. The ADASA will provide leadership in awarding scholarships and awards, maintenance of student records, and supporting student organizations, and graduation of all students enrolled in the Doctor of Optometry degree program. The ADASA is expected to establish and maintain a collaborative work environment with College and University faculty, staff, and administration, and College committees. The ADASA assumes the responsibilities and authority of the Dean when the Dean is unavailable. Limited clinical and instructional responsibilities may be assigned as determined to be appropriate based on expertise and academic background. Pursuit of research/scholarly activities is encouraged. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. |

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. KCAD has dual enrollment partnerships with many high schools throughout Michigan. These high schools offer students the opportunity to take KCAD classes for KCAD college credit. The classes are taught in the high school or in another site in the high school area. Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member, for the High School Dual Enrollment program, include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), evaluation of student performance, and communication with KCAD regarding course outcomes and expectations. Courses are to be taught in person at the applicable dual enrollment Michigan location. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. |

Part-time doctoral-level teaching in the area of community college/higher education governance and policy at campus locations and online (hybrid delivery). In addition to teaching, part-time faculty are also responsible for typical course-related tasks (assessment, course development, and quarterly faculty meetings). The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 at the earliest and May 2025 at the latest. This is a pooled position. Applications will be held until vacancies occur, when qualified candidates may be contacted. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes semester-by-semester. All DCCL courses are hybrid with some face-to-face and some online instruction. Candidates must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin following acceptance of employment. Required: PhD, EdD, or JD relevant to the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Applicants must have executive-level leadership/administration experience in a community college or other higher education organization. Applicants must have teaching experience within higher education. |

One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: A master’s or higher-level degree in field or closely related field and 3 years of relevant industrial experience. (all courses up through 400 level). A master’s or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor’s or associate’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught. (all courses up through 400 level). A bachelor’s degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to courses taught; or an associate’s degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 5 years of relevant industry experience.
