The Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include; preparing and delivering courses, utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met, and delivering courses in both a classroom and an on-line format. Perform independent maintenance and repair of campus grounds, roads, walks, plant life, irrigation systems and grounds equipment using approved environmental and ecological practices. Under the direction of the AVP/Chief Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Staff Training and Process Coordinator is responsible for the creation and delivery of training and professional development programs and logistics for the non-faculty staff of the University. To coordinate and provide oversight in the University's comprehensive NCAA compliance program. The position will oversee monitoring documentation of all compliance activities as required by NCAA, GLIAC, CCHA and Ferris State University for institutional control measures. The position shall be responsible for record keeping, rules interpretations, rules education and will serve as the primary interface with FSU's Associate Registrar on all NCAA eligibility concerns and its Athletic Financial Aid Officer. The Department is seeking a qualified individual to teach a selection of undergraduate courses in sales. The ideal candidate should be able to teach various sales-related courses (e.g., Professional Selling, Sales Management, and Advanced Selling. Teaching graduate courses in sales might also be required. The candidate will participate in developing and improving curriculum and curriculum delivery, assessment of student learning, service work including student engagement activities and committees, and engage in scholarly activities and professional development aligned with current and emergent programmatic needs. The candidate will assist to grow and expand the sales program. An adjunct instructor is needed to teach an undergraduate Finance course as part of Ferris State University's Prison Education Program at Thumb Correctional Facility in Lapeer, Michigan. This position requires face-to-face instruction at the facility. The course to be taught is FINC 322 Financial Management 1 - The environment, goals, and techniques of financial management; emphasizes both investment and financing decisions; incorporates control techniques including ratio analysis, budgeting, and forecasting; includes time value of money, bond and stock values, the use of operating and financial leverage, capital budgeting techniques, cost of capital, and basic information concerning international financial management. The role of the Associate Provost for Academic Operations (APAO) is critical in the office of Academic Affairs, as it involves providing leadership and oversight for the operations of the Academic Affairs Division with the ability to navigate relationships, communicate effectively, and understand the needs of the division. The APAO is charged with building and maintaining a team-based approach to various aspects, including, but not limited to; academic policy development, academic planning, enrollment initiatives, resolving student and faculty concerns, management of academic budgets and personnel decisions, and union contract negotiations, all in support of faculty governance. At the direction of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), the APAO collaborates with the Associate Provost of Curriculum, Assessment, and Accreditation, deans, faculty, and staff offering logistical and strategic support to the division, covering areas such as negotiation of the collective bargaining agreement, appeals for course requirements, handling student complaints, tenure track faculty review and promotions, semester scheduling and policy review, revision and implementation.
