Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include: Automotive Foundations, Automotive Marketing and Distribution, Automotive Accounting, Automotive Culture, Management of Fixed or Variable Operations, Warranty and Customer Relations, or Internet and Social Media Marketing. A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected. Required experience is relevant to degree and experience.
This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. Assistant 4S Program Coordinator- Ferris State University. The Assistant Program Coordinator supports the Program Coordinator in the successful implementation and management of Ferris's Select Student Support Services (4-S) Program which is part of the larger King-Chávez-Parks (KCP) initiative created by the Michigan State Legislature in 1987. The Assistant Program Coordinator reports directly to the 4S Program Coordinator and collaborates closely with the program staff, faculty, and students. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2024. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor's degree in education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of work experience equals one year of education. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or student support services within higher education.

Adjunct Instructor 1 - Heavy Equipment - Ferris State University. The College of Engineering Technology is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Heavy Equipment courses. This is a pooled position. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2023 at the earliest and January of 2024 at the latest.
Qualification by Credential: master’s degree in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering or a related discipline OR a master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Heavy Equipment or Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
Qualification by Tested Experience: bachelor’s degree in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering Technology or Equivalent degree. Minimum of three years full-time experience in the Heavy Equipment Service field or teaching in a Heavy Equipment related setting, within the previous five years.

The Department of Manufacturing Engineering Technology invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. Primary responsibilities include: preparing and delivering courses utilizing effective methods that ensure that all course outcomes are met; and delivering courses in both a classroom and an online format. Additionally, advising students, internship coordination, recruiting students, developing industry relationships, developing curriculum, and serving on various committees within the university. Teaching at regional satellite campuses may also be required, as well as working with student organizations.
