Ferris State University is seeking applications for a Leadership Giving Administrator for Athletics to identify, cultivate, and develop relationships with donors to secure funding for Ferris State University Athletics and the University. This position will have a dual reporting structure, reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement within the Ferris Foundation and to the Director of Athletics at Ferris State University. Required: Bachelor’s degree. Three or more years of fundraising, account management, sales and/or related work in relationship building.

Provide responsible, independent secretarial support in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. The anticipated start date for this position is March 2026; however, this is an estimate and may be revised if needed. Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Foundation Specialist Big Rapids, MI 49307
Serves as a key point of contact for the Foundation and Advancement Team, while providing administrative support for the Associate Vice President for Advancement/Executive Director of The Ferris Foundation, the Director of Leadership Giving/Associate Director of The Ferris Foundation, and philanthropy officers. Position requires a significant degree of decision-making and independent action. Interacts with tact and diplomacy with the campus community, vendors, donors, community members and other University constituents. Position reports to the Associate Vice President for Advancement/Executive Director of The Ferris Foundation. Required: Bachelor’s degree. The listed requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education: two years of full-time, related work experience equals one year of education. Valid driver’s license. Three years of relevant work experience at the leadership level. Experience with computer software applications, preferably Microsoft Office and a customer/donor database.
Adjunct Instructor - Accountancy Big Rapids, MI 49307
Teach undergraduate accounting courses. Faculty are expected to assess student learning outcomes for their courses and actively participate in program assessment activities under the guidance of tenured/tenure-track faculty. The anticipated need is for adjunct instructors to teach face-to-face courses on the Big Rapids campus, but online course offerings may also be available periodically. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in accountancy or related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level accounting courses. At least 5 years of business experience related to accounting.
Desktop Support Technician 2 Big Rapids, MI 49307
Provide service and support to university-owned, faculty, staff, and student privately-owned computing devices while providing a fresh perspective of support strategies and troubleshooting methods. Utilize different skill sets to diagnose hardware and software related problems on a variety of devices. Ensure that all repair work is performed safely and accurately to improve the longevity and usability of the equipment for the benefit of the university. Provide additional support to the Walk-Up and Desktop areas as needed. Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalency. A valid driver’s license. CompTIA A+ certification required within 90 days of employment. Three years of work experience in a computer-related support position.
