| The Director of Academic Initiatives provides leadership in advancing the academic mission of the institution through oversight of high-impact projects tied to academic strategic priorities, including curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, planning, and compliance. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Assessment and Accreditation, the Director drives cross-college collaboration, ensures the effective design, implementation, and evaluation of academic initiatives, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strategic vision, organizational expertise, and the ability to influence and partner with faculty, staff, and administrators at all levels. The anticipated start date for this position is December 2025; however, this is an estimate that may be revised if necessary. Required: Master's degree in business administration, public administration, communications, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in administration. Demonstrated project coordination or project management experience. |

| Provide service and support to university-owned, faculty, staff, and student privately-owned computing devices while providing a fresh perspective of support strategies and troubleshooting methods. Utilize different skill sets to diagnose hardware and software related problems on a variety of devices. Ensure that all repair work is performed safely and accurately to improve the longevity and usability of the equipment for the benefit of the university. Provide additional support to the Walk-Up and Desktop areas as needed. Required: High School Diploma or equivalency. A valid driver’s license. Adjunct Instructor - Pediatric Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

| This position will initially involve in-person patient care at an MCO external clinic location (Flint, MI) two days per week and work in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and external partners to develop a patient base that will support future resident and/or externship education. This position will be responsible for clinic growth and development in coordination with Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and external partners. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at an approved Ferris site. Compensation for the position is determined by degree held, residency, experience and certifications. See Tiered schedule information: Tier 1 ($53.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) without Residency; and 2 years' experience; Tier 2 ($61.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) with Residency; and 3 years' experience; and Fellowship (FAAO, FOVDRA, etc.) or equivalent certifications ; Tier 3 ($69.97/hour) Optometry (O.D. Degree) with Residency; and 5 years' experience; and Fellowship; and national professional organization lectures/posters and/or other published works. Required: At the time of appointment, the applicant must hold the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. At the time of appointment, the applicant must have or be eligible for a Michigan optometry license with DPA and TPA certifications for appointment to the college's clinical staff. At least one year of pediatric or community health residency experience and 2 years of related clinical experience with a pediatric focus. In lieu of pediatric or community health residency, must have 3 years of related clinical experience with a pediatric focus. |

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Valid driver’s license. Custodial/Janitorial work experience in a commercial-hospital-school environment, in a commercial cleaning service, or completion of the Ferris State University JANUS (custodial) training. Demonstrated experience with correct operation of a variety of commercial custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaner, automatic scrubber, high speed burnisher, single disc scrubber, carpet extraction/shampoo equipment or other essential or similar custodial equipment. |

| Dining Services is seeking hard working individuals to join a team of professionals dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. Several positions classified as part time continuing are available to assist in providing support in our retail, catering and residential food service operations, working up to 28 hours a week. Duties vary and could include greeting customers, processing meal plans, cash and credit card transactions utilizing a point of sales system, assisting with food production and service of food as needed. Individuals in this position will be exposed to all food types (ex. shellfish, peanuts, & fruit) in an environment where industrial strength cleaners are used. Work hours may vary, and you may be required to be on-call, work evenings, weekends and holidays. Required: High school diploma with GED equivalency. Demonstrated history of effective interpersonal communication, teamwork, and providing cheerful customer assistance. |
