Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction for students in the Baccalaureate Degree Nursing program as assigned within the acute care or community clinical setting. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside and perform the work in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 at the earliest and January 2026 at the latest. However, these are estimated dates and can be revised if needed. Required: Master of Science in Nursing; or Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and graduate degree in nursing completed within two years of hire. Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Michigan. Two years of RN clinical experience through clinical practice or other avenues.
Part-time Staff Support for Athletic Bands Big Rapids, MI 49307
Ferris State University's newly expanded music program, which now includes our new Bulldog Marching Band, seeks a 28 hours per week support staff member. This person will support the directors and band members through a variety of tasks, including: assisting with budget; organizing band camps, events, rehearsals, and travel; managing inventories, including instruments, equipment and music; and performing other general office related tasks. The anticipated start date for this position is July or August 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: High School Diploma. Valid driver’s license. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel in particular). Proficiency in email software systems, such as Outlook.
Adjunct Instructor 3 - Construction Management Big Rapids, MI 49307
We are seeking a 3-year full-time temporary faculty member (9-month contract) to teach face-to-face in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, Civil Engineering Technology AAS, Construction Management BS and Facilities Management BS. The role involves teaching lectures and/or labs in topics related to construction, facilities management, and virtual design and construction. The faculty member is expected to focus on student success, maintain office hours, and integrate current technology in their teaching. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site.
Adjunct Instructor 1- Project Management Multiple Locations
The candidate will teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate Project Management classes as needed. Faculty may be required to teach utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2025 at the earliest and January of 2026 at the latest. Required: Master’s degree in Project Management or related field OR Any Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Project Management. Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience or professional Project Management experience.
Adjunct Instructor 1 - Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) Multiple Locations
Part-time doctoral-level teaching in the area of community college/higher education governance and policy at campus locations and online (hybrid delivery). In addition to teaching, part-time faculty are also responsible for typical course-related tasks (assessment, course development, and quarterly faculty meetings). The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 at the earliest and May 2025 at the latest. This is a pooled position. Applications will be held until vacancies occur, when qualified candidates may be contacted. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes semester-by-semester. All DCCL courses are hybrid with some face-to-face and some online instruction. Candidates must reside in Michigan, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin following acceptance of employment. Required: PhD, EdD, or JD relevant to the Doctorate in Community College Leadership (DCCL) program. Applicants must have executive-level leadership/administration experience in a community college or other higher education organization. Applicants must have teaching experience within higher education.
