Adjunct Instructor- Material Sciences Technology Big Rapids, MI 49307
The School of Design and Manufacturing invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Materials Science and Technology (MATL) program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lectures and laboratory coursework in a "hands-on" academic environment. To facilitate this, adjunct faculty are expected to be student-oriented and able to integrate practical experience and current technology into the learning environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2026 at the earliest, and January 2027 at the latest. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future.
Radiography Lab Assistant (Part time) Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Health Professions seeks a part-time Radiography Lab Assistant to assist Radiography program faculty in the laboratory setting for up to 28 hours per week during student sessions. Some evenings may be required. The anticipated date for this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January of 2027 at the latest; however, this is an estimate and may be revised if needed.
Adjunct Instructor - Construction Management Big Rapids, MI 49307
We are seeking adjunct faculty to teach one course or a variety of courses, in one or more of the following degree programs: Building Construction Technology AAS, and Construction Management BS. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in construction, surveying, construction finance, construction law, and virtual design and construction will be considered. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended, or online; in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours, and the use of current technology is expected. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. Manager - Service Desk Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Service Desk Manager leads and advances service desk operations in a higher education environment, aligned with the HDI Support Center Maturity Model and leveraging the Team Dynamix IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. This role oversees several full-time employees and numerous part-time student employees. The manager is responsible for the walk-up service desk, contact center, ITSM workflows, knowledge management, and hardware repair services supporting faculty, staff, and students. The position emphasizes service quality, operational efficiency, staff and student development, data-driven decision-making, and continuous service improvement. This is a highly visible area of ITS and a highly customer service-driven team. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc.

This is a pooled position. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. This posting is used for face-to-face, laboratory, online, or clinical instruction at external sites. The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest.
