Assistant or Associate Professor of Construction Technology & Management (9-Month, Tenure-Track)	Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Engineering & Technology at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants for a 9-month, full-time, tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor position within the Department of Construction Technology & Management. Primary responsibilities include teaching and advising students in a four-year BS Construction Management program (accredited by the American Council for Construction Education – ACCE) and its two-year AAS program – Building Construction Technology & Management. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction technology and construction management topics. Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster curricular efforts, participate in assessment of student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancement. Specifically, we expect the candidate to be willing to engage students outside the classroom, support and expand our existing academic initiatives, and be willing to mentor students beyond a traditional academic advising role. In support of teaching, candidates will engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees. Off-campus and online teaching may be required. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. Tenure awarded at a previous institution is required to be hired at the rank of Associate Professor. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest.
Director of Online Innovation and Development	Big Rapids, MI 49307
The Director of Online Innovation and Development leads institutional efforts to advance the development, expansion, and operational success of online academic programs. This role partners closely with colleges and academic departments to design and implement administrative structures, operational processes, and student support frameworks necessary for high-quality online program delivery. The Director works with academic leadership to identify opportunities for innovation in online program models, student support strategies, and program delivery structures that improve access, flexibility, and student success. This position focuses on program-level strategy, operational infrastructure, and the overall student experience in online programs. The anticipated start date for this position is May 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

The Donor Relations Manager will oversee administrative and operational aspects of donor engagement, ensuring effective tracking, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and prospective major donors through a formal Moves Management program. This position combines relationship stewardship with strong data and systems management, supporting leadership and frontline fundraisers in achieving ambitious revenue goals.

Applicants with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: teaching a systems integration studio; BIM software, specifically Revit; architectural detailing, construction materials, and/or advanced building systems; and sustainable design. Preference will be given to candidates who show an interest in and aptitude for marketing an academic program through online advertising campaigns, social media, high school and community college visits, summer camps, or other appropriate channels. Teaching may include undergraduate and graduate courses. Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment. The Public Safety Officer is a sworn law enforcement position which involves protecting life and property, and the preservation of peace and good order through the enforcement of laws, ordinances, and policy. Duties include responding to emergency and non-emergency police calls for service, responsibility for performing assigned police work of varying degree of difficulty, utilizing community-oriented/problem-solving techniques which include community engagement, resource development, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, crime prevention, detection and investigation, apprehension of violators, and other related police functions. Required: High School Diploma or GED. Applicants must be MCOLES certified or licensable as a police officer as defined by MCOLES at the date of hire. Applicants must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license.
