Adjunct Instructor HVACR (Out of State) Multiple Locations
The College of Engineering and Technology at Ferris State University invites applications for Adjunct Instructor positions in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) program. We seek a diverse pool of highly qualified individuals who are passionate about teaching and preparing the next generation of skilled HVACR technicians and industry professionals. Adjunct instructors may teach courses across a variety of HVACR-related disciplines, including residential and commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration, controls and automation, electrical fundamentals, system design, installation practices, diagnostics and troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, energy management, building systems, and emerging technologies within the industry. Candidates should possess expertise in one or more areas of HVACR systems, installation, service, maintenance, controls, or related technical fields and demonstrate a commitment to student success through applied, hands-on learning experiences. Faculty members play a vital role in creating meaningful educational experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world application. Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon program needs, enrollment, and available funding. Adjunct Instructor- Material Sciences Technology Big Rapids, MI 49307
The School of Design and Manufacturing invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Materials Science and Technology (MATL) program. This position requires teaching undergraduate-level lectures and laboratory coursework in a "hands-on" academic environment. To facilitate this, adjunct faculty are expected to be student-oriented and able to integrate practical experience and current technology into the learning environment. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2026 at the earliest, and January 2027 at the latest. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future.
Clinical Faculty (Non-Tenure) - Dental Hygiene Big Rapids, MI 49307
The College of Health Professions invites applications for two full-time, non-tenure-track clinical faculty positions to provide technical assistance and ongoing support for students across laboratories and clinical teaching, including oversight of direct patient care and experiential learning environments, for 30 hours per week. Responsibilities will extend beyond course instruction by an additional 10 hours per week to include student mentoring, one-on-one and small-group engagement, assessment activities, community and clinical partner engagement, travel associated with experiential sites, and curriculum continuity. These are 9-month positions with an anticipated start date of August 2026; however, this estimate may be revised if needed. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future.

Perform custodial duties independently or as part of a team, as assigned, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. M-F, 5:00 pm – 1:30 am. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Dishmachine Operator Big Rapids, MI 49307
A position classified as Dishmachine Operator is available with Dining Services at The Quad Cafe. The normal working hours are 6:00 am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday. Days off are Saturday and Sunday. This is a 9-month position. However, the employee may be required to work other times, including days/evenings and/or weekends. If required by job duties, the employee must be able to fulfill the University’s requirements concerning the issuance and use of University keys. Personnel who possess the special qualifications and training necessary for this position may apply. Provide food service support by cleaning, operating, and maintaining dishes, pots, pans, utensils, dish carts, dish room, and equipment. Required: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
