| Provide leadership, oversight, training, performance management, and professional development for the Plumbing and Boiler Plant shops. Supervise and coordinate the work activities of the plumbers and boiler operators engaged in the operations and maintenance of plumbing systems and the Boiler Plant, including steam distribution systems. Operations of the Plant include operating, monitoring, and maintaining plant equipment and plumbing systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operations of the Boiler Plant and campus Plumbing systems. This includes high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment that use natural gas as the primary fuel source to ensure continuous, reliable, and critical steam service to facilities located on the University’s campus. Operations and maintenance of the steam distribution and domestic hot water systems, including operating, monitoring, and maintaining distribution systems. Serve as project manager for contracted and in-house maintenance, construction, and renovation projects related to the Plumbing and Boiler Plant departments. Coordinate with contracted partners and University staff to maintain required regulatory information, coordinate required inspections, and coordinate vendor support. This position is located in Big Rapids, Michigan, and the anticipated shift will be M-F, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Assignment requires availability to work weekend and evening shifts as needed and to respond to emergency calls. |

| Under the direction of the Director of Public Safety, this position manages the Public Safety communication system, monitors campus-wide security cameras, maintains after-hours access control, and performs various police records support functions, some of which require special certification. These positions will have a 4-day work week and a 10-hour workday, with a shift differential of $.30 per hour, as defined in the CTA/MEA contract. Work hours for these positions are 3:00 pm – 2:00 am, with a one-hour unpaid lunch period. The work schedules for these positions are as follows: Dispatcher 1/Week 1 – Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. | Provide in classroom figure modeling services for classes at Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design’s campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The figure model will pose in a studio setting for educational purposes. Poses may be unclothed or clothed, allowing students to study the human form from observation. Please note, most class requirements will require unclothed posing. This position requires the ability to hold poses for extended periods and remain focused and engaged during the session. This is a part-time, on-call position not to exceed 28 hours per week. Students currently enrolled in any program at Ferris State University will not be considered for this position. The anticipated start date of this position is late November 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous modeling experience/knowledge of figure modeling techniques preferred but not required. Must be 18 years of age. |
