Assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Ferris State University Division II athletic programs. Assist Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in department wide administration of strength and conditioning, including but not limited to weight room scheduling and oversight and management of student employees. Pursuant to FSU-HRPP 2005:44, "Students currently admitted on a full-time basis, defined as carrying at least 9 credits per semester, to a Ferris State University graduate program and earning credits toward a graduate degree, may qualify for a Graduate Project Assistant (GPA) position". This is a 20 hour per week position. Work Year is August 1 - May 31. Required: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in exercise science, sports fitness, kinesiology or related field. Must be working towards or already obtained Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Must become certified in CPR, AED and First Aid. 4S Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator for Select Student Support Services (4S) serves as the primary liaison for the Determined Dawgs Scholar Academy (DDSA). DDSA is a selective, four-week summer bridge program designed to support conditionally admitted freshmen in their transition to Ferris State University. The program primarily serves students who may be the first in their family to attend college, require additional academic support, or come from under-resourced communities. In this role, the coordinator facilitates communication and collaboration among program staff, university departments, and external partners to ensure a holistic approach to student success. Responsibilities include overseeing program evaluation, managing data collection and reporting, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The coordinator reports to the Coordinator of Student Success Initiatives. This is a temporary, grant funded position set to end on September 30th, 2029, with a possibility of renewal/continuation determined by continuation of the grant.
