Ferris State University is seeking a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education who can demonstrate excellence in teaching special education and other related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the School of Education. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and possess the ability to deliver face-to-face and online instruction at both the main campus and other locations. This successful candidate will also advise and mentor education students throughout their program. The department is especially interested in an individual committed to teaching, scholarship, and service in a highly collaborative environment that is dedicated to the preparation of the next generation of educators to be adaptive teachers and learners, problem-solvers, and inspirers of learning. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2026 or August 2026 at the latest. Required: Master's degree in education or a closely related area with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in special education. Certification in special education or eligible for certification in special education. Three years of successful special education teaching experience in a P-12 setting. Two years of part-time is equivalent to one year of full-time. |
Adjunct Instructor - Technical Theatre

The Humanities Department seeks applications for instructors to teach one course per semester in Technical Theatre, in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired, as needed, to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis face-to-face and/or online. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities including keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participating in traditional functions which have academic significance (i.e. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). For in-person or hybrid teaching positions: Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 or January 2026 at the latest. Required: Master's degree in Technical Theater or Theatre or related field. Previous experience teaching Technical Theatre/Design courses at the high school and/or collegiate level. |
Clinic Operations Manager

Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Clinic, including supervision of staff. Collaborate with Assistant Dean for Clinical Education to develop clinic schedules, marketing plans, clinic policies and procedures, and to complete other duties as assigned. The anticipated start date of this position is September 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration or related field. Over three years of supervisory experience in a complex office environment, overseeing personnel and ensuring high standards of customer service delivery in a multifaceted setting, evidence of proficient professional communication—both orally and in writing which can be demonstrated through various examples in work and academics. |
Wege Prize Program Coordinator

The Wege Prize Program Coordinator will manage the ongoing development and implementation of KCAD’s Wege Prize international student design competition. Working in collaboration with the Wege Prize Academic Liaison and various outside contractors (providing project management, public relations, live event production, printing, catering, and other services), the Wege Prize Program Coordinator will ensure each competition cycle is: promoted effectively to attract an increasingly diverse and adept field of participants; executed faithfully with respect to the competition’s rules, mission, and grant-defined outcomes; amplified through self-generated and earned media coverage of participating team’s experiences, ideas, and successes; and documented accurately through yearly grant reporting to the Wege Foundation. This is a temporary, grant funded position set to end on June 30, 2026, at the conclusion of the competition cycle with a possibility of renewal/continuation determined by continuation of the grant. The anticipated start date of this position is September 2025; however this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field. At least three years of relevant marketing/communications/project management experience. Experience producing engaging content for a wide variety of media and materials as evidenced by excellent portfolio of work. |
Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations

The Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations creates and leads the donor stewardship strategy for the sole purpose of increasing donors and donations to The Ferris Foundation. The scope of work includes leading and developing the strategy for donor recognition, fund reporting, gift utilization and stewardship initiatives. This position report to the Associate Vice President for Advancement Required: Bachelor's degree. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education is two years of full-time related work experience equals one year of education. Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in advancement, a non-profit organization, or related field with a particular focus on leadership, donor research, stewardship or project management. |
