We are seeking a Director to lead the Cybersecurity Risk Management and Architecture functions for LCRA. You will lead a team of cyber experts, contribute to the cybersecurity leadership team, and report to the CISO. We work with innovative Cyber tools, collaborate with all levels of staff, and protect LCRA's critical infrastructure. We ensure the reliability of power, water, telecommunications, and community services for the Texans we serve.

You will be trusted to:

- Lead the cybersecurity risk management program
- Define and approve architecture standards
- Optimize 3rd party cyber risk management processes
- Build out offensive security capabilities
- Lead by example and collaborate across Cybersecurity to deliver the highest level of service and protection to our internal customers.
- Continually develop your technical expertise and contribute to your team as a hands-on, working, leader.
- Utilize your technical, cyber, and interpersonal skills to build trust and enable risk-based business decisions.

This role follows the current LCRA Hybrid schedule: a minimum of two days in office with the option to work three days remotely within Texas. (Note: this is based on business needs and subject to change.)

You qualify with:

- Twelve or more years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, risk management or other relevant experience with at least three years managing direct reports. Experience in the development and implementation of operational strategies, governance strategies and internal controls, including experience serving as an interface between functional areas and leading security and regulatory changes. A degree(s) in computer science, information systems, information technology, engineering, business or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Management experience in cybersecurity, data compliance, and risk management
- Experience in the energy or public utility sectors
- Proven understanding of all aspects of risk management, data compliance, information and security strategy, technologies and tools
- Applicable risk management, governance and/or compliance industry qualifications.
- Experience establishing effective relationships with internal and external partners in IT and other business areas of a significant organization
- Solid grasp of IT systems, applications, networks, and databases
- CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CEH, or similar certifications
