Do you love seeing your work make a real difference in people's lives? LCRA is looking for a talented Visual and Brand Designer who can turn complex topics into designs that make people stop scrolling. You'll be the creative force behind a diverse range of internal and external products for our organization. Each project allows us to test a new limit - one day, we are designing collateral for a water safety campaign to promote responsible boating; the next, we are creating materials that help make energy efficiency exciting. Your designs will reach countless Texans across LCRA’s service territory and beyond, making complicated topics clear and compelling. We pride ourselves on offering balance to your work environment by regularly gathering in-office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for creative collaboration, and working from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for that deep-focus time. Team leadership, creative reviews or production requirements may necessitate in-office work on other weekdays and work may involve weekends, holidays and non-standard hours on occasion. We are setting the standard for utility and energy communications in Texas, and design is central to how we tell our story. If you get excited about the intersection of beautiful design and meaningful communication, let’s talk. We want to provide you an environment to learn new things and elevate your skills to that next level.
You will be trusted to:
- Design everything: From digital campaigns to print materials, motion graphics to social media content – Adobe Creative Suite is the playground where you’ll flex your skills so advanced proficiency especially with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office suite are our must have abilities. - Translate the complex: Take technical utility concepts and transform them into visual stories that resonate with everyone from industry experts to everyday customers through thoughtful strategic design - Collaborate widely: Meet with internal teams to understand their vision, partner with our print and promotional product vendors to bring projects to life, and work alongside a creative team that values your input - Think beyond static: Create both still and motion graphics that add movement and energy to our stories - Wear multiple hats: Flex your writing skills and social media savvy to create cohesive campaigns that work across channels
You qualify with:
- Four or more years of experience in graphic design, photography, offset press or digital art techniques or relevant experience. A degree(s) in commercial art or graphic design or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
