You will be trusted to:

- Install, remove, inspect, repair, test, adjust, and align mechanical equipment, including air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, and fans. Dismantle and reassemble turbine generators as required for assigned work area.
- Read blueprints, consults manuals, parts lists, etc, to assist in performing work; keep drawings and schematics up to date and accurate.
- Assist electrical and controls personnel in performing various tasks. Perform bearing work, friction and anti-friction, on various equipment (turbine-generator; pumps, etc.).
- Perform planning and scheduling of work (checking parts availability, equipment availability, and labor). May provide guidance to maintenance crews periodically.
- Operate handheld manual tools and power tools (e.g., rock saws and cut-off saws) in performing repair and maintenance tasks.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to less-experienced team members.

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.  
- Driver's license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
