LCRA is seeking a Category Manager II to join our Supply Chain team! This position will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies for materials and services to support our Telecommunications department. As part of this team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business objectives and implement category strategies that optimize value for LCRA. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and a strategic mindset. You will be trusted to:
- Applies market analysis and industry intelligence to implement category strategies to drive value and quality for LCRA. - Drafts, negotiates and administers purchase contracts that capture cost savings, mitigate risk and satisfy compliance with LCRA policies and applicable statutes. - Builds, maintains and leverages supplier relationships to create a competitive purchasing advantage for LCRA. - Develops key stakeholder relationships to ensure category strategy alignment with overall procurement and business objectives.
You qualify with:
- Six or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management or project management or other relevant experience. - A degree(s) in business, supply management, finance, economics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

- Experience procuring goods, commodities and services using a strategic sourcing process - Experience identifying and deploying a category strategy - Experience independently drafting, negotiating and executing purchase contracts - Experience leveraging and improving supplier performance - Experience developing and managing stakeholder relationships - Understanding of materials planning, inventory management and logistics
