Are you ready to take your technical expertise to the next level within a critical infrastructure environment? We are looking for a detail-oriented Substation Metering Technician to join our Transmission Services team.

In this role you’ll be a vital link in the energy chain, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our revenue metering systems. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where you’ll receive professional mentorship while taking ownership of complex projects that integrate hardware, telecommunications, and high-level data networks.

You will be trusted to:

- Lead and assist in the setup of substation metering circuits, revenue meters, and instrument transformers.
- Bridge the gap between hardware and software by integrating meters into a internal and 3rd-party networks for remote MV90 access.
- Act as a key collaborator between LCRA System Operations, Telecommunications, and ERCOT to execute complex system upgrades.
- Perform testing, repairs, and fine-tuned adjustments to transformer-type meters and demand mechanisms.
- Ensure the grid remains secure and transparent by developing test results and maintaining NERC and ERCOT-required documentation.
- Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, powerplants, water systems, etc.) as scheduled

You qualify with:

- Three or more years of experience in the construction and/or maintenance of power substation protection, diagnostic, metering, monitoring and/or control systems or relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license
