This includes the fossil control room operators, plant operators and other shift personnel essential to power plant operations. This position will coordinate work activities with other power plant departments and serves as the primary contact with the LCRA Generation Desk (GenDesk) regarding all unit generation capabilities and outages, and also with TS System Operations and Control Center (SOCC) regarding transmission switching needs. As a Power Plant Planner, your skills and experience will be applied to process work orders daily, create job plans, create and maintain detailed preventative and maintenance strategies, work plans and work packages, and maintain an overall maintenance backlog. The ability to multitask and solve complex problems is a must. This will entail prioritizing your daily workload with other demanding work. Most of the time, you will work independently with minimal guidance and will be a resource for colleagues with less experience. At times, you may direct the work of other staff members.
