Provides high quality didactic and/or clinical instruction in dentistry to ensure students meet course outcomes. Collaborates with college staff and colleagues to improve students learning experience. Conducts research or scholarship to advance knowledge. Provides service for the benefit of internal and external communities. May be assigned administrative duties. (Clinical Track)
Faculty (Rank TBD) - Medical Education - 991421 Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida
Teaches in one or more discipline-based courses (anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, pathology, physiology) in the Health Professions Division (Allopathic Medicine, Dental, Health Sciences, Nursing, Optometry, Osteopathic Medicine, and Pharmacy). Additionally, teaches in interdisciplinary blocks (fundamentals, hematology, neurological sciences/musculoskeletal, cardiovascular/pulmonary/renal, gastrointestinal/nutrition, endocrine/reproductive, psychiatry/behavior/prevention over the lifecycle) and facilitates problem-based learning and team-based learning groups. Appropriate rank will be determined by NSU MD’s merit and promotions committee.
Faculty (Rank TBD) – Physician Educator - 991420 Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida
Teaches one of the clinical skills courses, Practice of Medicine I, II, or III in the first two years of an integrated case-based curriculum, sequenced by system, with foci on Research, Genomics, Inter-professional Collaboration, Biomedical Informatics and Leadership. Assists with LCME accreditation and engages in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical education and/or medical knowledge. Appropriate rank will be determined by NSU MD’s merit and promotions committee.
Faculty (Rank TBD) - Medical Education/Research Scientist - 992265 Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida
The principal duty of a research faculty member is to conduct research related to the mission of the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD). Our institute is looking to grow on our solid foundation of research that focuses on neuroscience, oncology, stem cell biology, and systems biology. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, immuno-oncology, neuroscience, neuro-oncology, and/or neuroimmune diseases. Appropriate rank will be determined by the Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine's Merit and Promotion Committee.
Program Director - Occupational Therapy/Faculty (Rank TBD) - 995847 Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida
Duties include all administrative tasks associated with admission, retention, and program direction for the OTD course study. The Director must have Associate Professor or Professor rank and commitment to developing research and scholarship. Appointment to the rank of professor requires a record of distinguished scholarship and outstanding teaching ability, evidenced by recognized professional productivity in the field(s) of specialization. Appointment to the rank of associate professor normally requires a record of substantial success in teaching, scholarship, and service.
